Make a Things Todo Out of the Current ‘Net Radio Track in iTunes

I’ve taken to listening to KCRW’s Eclectic 24 during the day, which is exposing me to a lot of new music I’d like to look up later (and definitely do not want to spend a lot of time looking up when I should be doing other things). Hence this quick snippet to grab the current track information and source station of whatever’s playing in iTunes and capture it in my “Things to Look Up” list in Things. After I posted the snippet it occurred to me to add a time stamp to the note as well, since some stations publish their playlists, and there’s no error checking in case the station doesn’t provide good track information.

I’ve hooked it up to a keyboard shortcut in FastScripts so I don’t have to break context to grab the current track and keep doing whatever I’m doing.
