Facebook Debates Privacy Changes, Report Says:

“Facebook is reportedly undergoing internal struggles as the company debates concerns raised over user privacy, and the social network may revamp its user privacy settings in the coming days.”

Per yesterday’s entry, it’s just another sign that Facebook is probably never going to stop playing this game. The issue isn’t whether you have 100 settings to tweak or just 30, but that you’ll probably never know with any certainty how many settings there will be, or whether you’ve tweaked the right ones, or if you shouldn’t just go check one more time because maybe they changed things again.

No matter how many people realize that, though, I’ll be pleasantly surprised if Diaspora goes anywhere. Like Microsoft, I think Facebook has become so big it will have to kill itself for us.
