You know, the thing about A List Apart articles lately is that the article title will get me all excited, and then when I read the article I realize, “oh, yeah, if you do this weird workaround or buy a product that the author is somehow involved in the production of.” The font-face thing was a part of the CSS2 specification, released in ’98, but has never been fully supported by the major browsers (shocker, I know)… and basically the article says, “yeah, you still can’t really use font-face in a browser, but I’m on the board for a company that sells a product that will take web pages through CSS and output a pdf that DOES respect @font-face declarations.” ohhhhhkaaay, great.
