At Least It’s Free

For some reason, the promotional copy for Yahoo’s new “Yahoo! Answers” service does absolutely nothing to inspire my confidence in the “Real Answers” provided to “Real Questions” asked by “Real People.”

Yahoo! Answers

I’d propose the example question be, perhaps, “Will rubbing my girlfriend down with falafel in the shower clog the drain?” with the headshots featuring, say, a construction worker, a newborn infant and Bill O’Reilly. That would give me some faith in the notion that the service is actually going to connect me with an expert.
